A Ministry of the United Methodist Church

Stewardship
"The earth is the Lord's,
and all that is in it." -- Psalm 24:1

The ministry of the Wesley Foundation serves two purposes: to care for United Methodist students while they are away from their home congregations; and to proclaim the Gospel to the entire Georgia Tech community on behalf of the United Methodist church. Our stewardship ministries oversee the use of our resources to ensure they are used to these ends.
Board of Directors
The Wesley Foundation Board of Directors is charged with overseeing the Wesley Foundation's ministries of witness, nurture, outreach, and fellowship, and securing the resources necessary to provide these ministries. The board is made up of Georgia Tech alumni, representatives from United Methodist churches, and individuals with a passion for campus ministry (including Georgia Tech faculty and staff).
Finances
The Wesley Foundation relies on donations to provide for its ministries. Even as generous as our students are, if we relied solely on weekly offerings from college students, we would not be able to do a lot! Our funding in 2008 comes from the following sources:

* Georgia UM Commission on Higher Education and Campus Ministry: 52%
* Gifts from individuals: 24%
* Gifts from local churches: 9%
* Rentals: 10%
* Student Contributions / Other: 5%
The Wesley Foundation Building
The Wesley Foundation was dedicated in September, 1960. The building contains a worship area that seats 80, a seminar area, a prayer chapel, a kitchen, a reading room, a study lounge, and private rooms for three residents. Located on the property are a meditation area, three picnic tables, and parking for program participants. We completed a major renovation of our program and worship space during summer semester, 2007. We hope to renovate our kitchen during the summer of 2009.

Please send any questions or comments to the Wesley Foundation.
